Abstract
The junior high school years mark a critical phase in adolescent psychological development, where academic pressures and growth-related challenges often lead to suboptimal mental health. As a non-pharmacological intervention, art therapy holds unique value in junior high education. Color elements, serving as the core medium in art instruction, provide crucial physiological and psychological foundations for therapeutic applications. This study integrates color psychology and art therapy theories with practical junior high art education. Through three dimensions—color perception activation, emotional expression release, and cognitive restructuring elevation—we develop actionable implementation pathways. Supported by teaching case studies, this research explores concrete methods for applying color elements in art therapy, offering educators practical solutions for mental health education in junior high art classrooms.
