A Study on the Pathways of Color Teaching from the Perspective of Ecological Aesthetic Education: Taking the Course "Play of Lines and Colors" at a Youth Activity Center as an Example

Abstract

Guided by the concept of ecological aesthetic education, this paper explores innovative approaches to integrating color elements in out-of-school art education, using the primary-level course "Play of Lines and Colors" at a youth activity center as a practical case. The study aims to transcend the traditional skill-based orientation of color instruction by establishing a teaching model that integrates natural perception, emotional experience, and ecological ethics. This paper systematically examines how thematic unit design, contextualized learning environments, and hands-on practice can awaken adolescents' innate sensitivity to color, help them construct knowledge of color, enhance their expressive ability, and implicitly foster ecological awareness rooted in respect for nature and compassion for life.
