Within the structural framework of domestic traditional culture, traditional aesthetics constitutes a pivotal component, integrating profound cultural connotations and chromatic heritage. To this day, it continues to exert significant influence and value across diverse domains in contemporary times, one notable manifestation being its application in modern illustration narratives. Distinct from conventional modern illustration narratives, the incorporation of traditional Oriental chromatic aesthetics enables a profound enhancement of aesthetic connotations within modern illustration narratives, facilitating viewers to perceive their aesthetic value. Concurrently, when integrated with narrative rhythm, it contributes substantially to the manifestation of aesthetic value and the elevation of narrative efficacy in modern illustrations. Hence, this paper endeavors to investigate and analyze the application of traditional Oriental chromatic aesthetics in modern illustration narratives, aiming to provide insights and references for the innovation of modern illustration narratives.
