Against the dual backdrop of cultural confidence and the revitalization of aesthetic education, the teaching of design color is in urgent need of breaking down the barriers that separate tradition and modernity. With aesthetic education as the core orientation, this paper explores the integrated teaching approaches of traditional color aesthetics and modern color-matching techniques. By defining the cultural connotations of traditional color aesthetics and the practical logic of modern color-matching techniques, it analyzes the aesthetic education value of their integration; through investigation and research, it reveals such problems in the current design color teaching as the lack of aesthetic education and the disconnection between tradition and modernity. On this basis, it constructs a three-dimensional integrated teaching content system featuring cultural core, colormatching techniques and aesthetic education objectives. The research shows that integrated teaching can not only inherit the fine traditional Chinese color culture, but also realize the teaching goal of "nurturing people through beauty and cultivating people through culture" by means of aesthetic education immersion. It further promotes the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture, and provides theoretical support and practical reference for the reform of design color teaching.
