The Integration and Application of Color Psychology in High School Art Classes and Teaching Innovation

Abstract

Research in color psychology highlights the close connection between colors and human emotions, cognition, and behavior, offering valuable insights for art education. In high school art classes, color serves not only as a key expressive element but also as a medium for emotional and aesthetic experience. Integrating color psychology into teaching can enrich learning, foster creativity, and support emotional regulation. This paper examines its value in art education, identifies classroom limitations, and proposes integration methods such as situational teaching, project-based learning, digital support, and innovative evaluation. The findings suggest that color psychology enhances students’ cognitive and emotional engagement, promotes psychological adjustment, and cultivates creativity, achieving deeper integration of art and psychological development.
