In current art design practice, there exists a tendency in color selection that emphasizes visual form over emotional transmission. Some designs only focus on the visual impact and aesthetic matching of colors, but fail to deeply integrate colors with the core emotions that the design intends to express. This makes it difficult for the design to resonate emotionally with users and also prevents it from effectively playing the role of emotional transmission in specific scenarios, which to a certain extent affects the overall effect and practical value of the design. Based on this practical situation, this study takes emotional aesthetics as the core perspective. It first analyzes the importance of optimizing color selection based on emotional aesthetics, and then further sorts out the color selection strategies in art design based on emotional aesthetics, aiming to provide practical color selection methods for art design practitioners.
