As intangible cultural heritage preservation shifts from static exhibitions to immersive experiences, traditional colors— as visual narrative symbols of cultural symbolism—become crucial mediators for translation within contemporary exhibition spaces, exemplified by the kite installations at the Weifang World Kite Museum. However, existing research predominantly focuses on craft innovation, with relatively insufficient exploration of how color functions as a cultural symbol within spatial narrative logic. This study employs a semiotic hierarchical analysis method combined with exhibition space case observation, incorporating Barthes's theory of sign structure to trace the translation pathways of color across three levels: form, symbolism, and narrative. The findings offer valuable insights for visual expression and cultural communication in exhibition spaces, while also providing implications for the contemporary reinterpretation and visualization of intangible cultural heritage colors.
