Research on the Visual–Tactile Interaction Mechanism in Emotional Color Design for Children: A Case Study of Inclusive Toys in Vehicles

Abstract

This study takes "in-vehicle inclusive building blocks" as the research object, focusing on emotional color design strategies for children's products, and explores the mechanism by which the synergistic design of color and touch promotes inclusive experiences in children's toys. The research employs a combined approach of eye-tracking and subjective evaluation to collect and analyze users' visual behaviors and emotional feedback during use, systematically examining the interactive effects of color coding and tactile guidance. The results indicate that emotion-oriented color design effectively attracts and guides children's visual attention, enhances operational intuitiveness and interactive pleasure, while also improving the adaptability of products to children with different perceptual abilities through the complementary dual channels of color and touch. This study provides empirically supported emotional color strategies for products intended for shared use by visually impaired and sighted children, as well as actionable theoretical references and practical pathways for the design and development of inclusive toys for children.
