Color psychological effect is a core issue in art psychology, and its application in mixed media painting possesses unique aesthetic value and expressive potential. Based on the core theories of color psychological effects, this paper reviews its concepts, classifications, influencing factors, and theoretical foundations, and analyzes the artistic characteristics of mixed media painting, the color expression properties of materials, and the functional value of color. On this basis, the study focuses on exploring practical approaches such as the adaptation between color psychology and material properties, psychologicallyoriented technical application, materialized expression of color psychology, and creative transformation. It also analyzes common problems in the adaptation of the two and proposes optimization strategies. This research aims to provide theoretical and practical references for mixed media painting creation and promote the deep integration of color psychology and contemporary art practice.
